I didn't know there was a movie version but I read the book years ago! I liked the movie although it was a bit different from the book, from what I remember. I like Jas. And Tom!

There is a glossary at the end that "American Readers" can refer to for British slang terms. How cute! I also read the other books. I borrowed from Martha's friend. I read two books, I think. I can't remember the other one but this is my favorite that's why I remember (I couldn't find the exact cover!):
